10 Years of Lyon & Lyon

This poster series celebrates our 10 years of L&L and how we turned stupendous f*ck ups into glorious wins and the lessons we’ve learnt along the way. Whether you’re a creative, a business owner or a normal living and breathing human, there are learnings to be had by everyone.

Story

We were working on our first video project with a client when Covid hit. As the video was based on filming in their office, we nearly lost the project. We switched it up and turned this opportunity into our first ever animation piece. We worked with a freelancer to get it done, and ended up hiring him and opening a motion design service (It was our Anton and he still works here today!). – Mat

For an interpretation of the theme “ADAPT” Steph created a world with plant based type-like forms, each adapted to different environments. Colour represents some climates, from a hot red world, to icey white and a milder blue.

This concept follows on from some previous work that is inspired by the fact that plants and trees communicate to each other in various ways, so it’s a play on visualising their own language if it were ever written.

Steph Hardy

Steph Hardy is a freelance designer and illustrator based in Sheffield.

She has been an integral piece of Lyon & Lyon for the last 7 years, and in 2023 took the jump to become freelance.
