Building a brand system for the future of Welsh innovation.
What began as a founder-built coworking space had evolved into one of Wales’s leading innovation ecosystems, supporting startups, creatives, and entrepreneurs through its growing network of Spaces, Ventures, and Skills. But while Tramshed Tech had grown rapidly to six sites across Wales, its brand had evolved more organically, lacking the clarity, cohesion, and scalability needed to reflect its growing influence and ambition. As a remote studio with our own bases at Tramshed Tech, we had skin in the game, so this was a project that meant a lot to get right. Our challenge was to reimagine the brand as a unified, future-facing identity that clearly connected the ecosystem while preserving the Welsh-warmth, openness, and entrepreneurial spirit at its core.

Inspired by an internal insight describing the three pillars as “different doors leading to the same place”, we developed the concept Doors Open Doors — positioning Tramshed Tech as a place where opportunity begins the moment you step inside. Bold door-shaped forms became the foundation of a flexible identity system designed around movement, progression, and possibility.

At the centre of the system sits a new geometric double-T symbol inspired by rail lines, pathways, and directional movement, referencing both the heritage of the original tram shed and the journeys founders take as they grow and evolve.

ROLL OUT
The system comes to life across social, signage, digital, merchandise and brand guidelines, with each touchpoint designed to feel connected but never repetitive. From meeting room wayfinding and team cards to launch posters and ultra detailed guideline spreads, the identity gives Tramshed Tech a practical toolkit for their team to empower them and the brand with more consistency, confidence and energy.
