Lyon and Lyon, a branding and packaging design studio based in Sheffield and Barry, won Best In Show at the 2024 Dieline Awards, the leading global recognition for packaging design. The winning entry was created for SITCH, a UK haircare brand built around sustainability, refillable systems, and conscious consumption. The award was selected from over 1,500 entries across 35 countries.

The Challenge

SITCH came to Lyon and Lyon with a clear ambition: create packaging that was genuinely refillable, designed for both bathroom and salon environments, and visually distinctive in a category prone to generic aesthetics. The challenge was solving a functional problem (space-saving, refillable mechanics) while delivering a premium look that could hold its own on salon shelves.

Market Intersection

The SITCH project sits at the intersection of two growing client needs: brands that want packaging with genuine sustainability credentials, and founders who refuse to trade aesthetics for ethics. Lyon and Lyon’s approach treats these as the same problem, not competing priorities.

Out of a whopping 1500 entries across 35 countries, our creative team won the overall BEST IN SHOW award. We’re totally blown away and immensely proud! 

What was the winning entry?

SITCH was truly a dream client for us. A brand with a passion for sustainability and disrupting the status quo.

Together, we created first-of-its-kind packaging. Refillable bottles that were not only designed to look aesthetically amazing, but also fit together seamlessly, saving space in bathrooms AND creating eye-catching displays in hair salons.

If you only knew the many many months of hard work we put into this, pushing to create something that is truly unique in a sector of “blanding”.
